My Community Is My Backyard
Photography is a mindful practice of discerning beyond looking to truly absorb the energy around us.
And I love to portray people, places, and spaces with artful and, occasionally, whimsical intent.
My preferred camera is the one I have with me.
And my favorite photo is the next one Iām going to make.
Working with a classic Brownie camera, Andy Snow develops a passion for photography at the age of ten. In the summer of 1964 he feeds that love with landscape and people photos at the Boy Scout National Jamboree in Valley Forge, PA.
Twelve years later, in 1972, he is working with clients and customers while finishing his degree at Princeton University. By 1982, he is traveling around the globe as a documentarian making photos with all formats of film.
TIME, NCR, FORTUNE, GE, Forbes, Gamma Liaison, Picture Group, and SABA engage him with people, process, and product assignments well into the new century digital era.
While teaching digital image making as an adjunct faculty member at University of Dayton, he completes his media Masters degree at Antioch University in September 2005.
The American Society of Media Photographers honors him with a Best of 2013 award. The Ohio Arts Council, funded by the NEA, names him Artist of the Year in 2020.
